Rhino Quarries (PTY) LTD is an open cast mine in Randfontein, South Africa that produces crushed silica sand and stone for the construction industry. The quarry was established in 2003 and is estimated to have 52 million tons of resource at a tested depth of 30m. The silica sand resources at the quarry have been tested to be 94% – 99.8% silica (SiO2).
Started in 2018, Rhino Quarries is a proudly South Africa, family-owned quarry whose main objective is to supply high quality crushed silica sand to the local construction industry for the manufacturing of concrete tiles at an affordable price. Over the years our high-quality silica sand has enabled the production of extremely strong and durable high-quality roof tiles for our partner Rooftile West Rand CC.
Rhino Quarries offers a wide range of high-quality sand and stone products including 19mm stone, 6.7mm stone, and river sand to building and tile sand. Our high-quality products play a key role in creating quality building and construction materials that ensure the integrity of structures. Our silica sand is of the highest quality at 94% – 99.8% silica (SiO2).
